Several carriers have been added to the Bold Penguin Placement Desk, giving agents quicker and easier access to more coverage solutions. The following is a list of the new Placement Desk carriers, enabling agents to grow their book or solve for hard-to-place risks without needing a direct appointment:

The Bold Penguin Placement Desk helps independent agents place business with carriers they may not be directly appointed with by providing a channel inside the Terminal. Unlike Market Access, which is built for speed and instant eligibility, the Placement Desk is designed for risks that require appointments and may require underwriting review before binding. The Placement Desk is ideal for more complex opportunities or for risks better suited to national and regional carriers.
Once you submit a request, you can typically expect an initial acknowledgement within one business day. From there, a Placement Specialist will begin the underwriting review and may reach out if any additional information is required. Timing for bindable quotes and underwriting decisions can vary by carrier and risk complexity. To help us move as quickly as possible, we recommend submitting completed risk information through the Bold Penguin Terminal with at least 10 days of lead time.

The Terminal has expanded coverage options through the Bold Penguin Placement Desk, in partnership with Adaptive’s GridProtect parametric power outage coverage. This partnership means agents gain seamless digital access to Adaptive’s coverage solution that provides payment in the event of local power outages and business interruptions. Adaptive’s GridProtect leverages its AI-powered platform to automatically detect an outage, validate it via real-time data, and trigger the claims process automatically. Adaptive is the first parametric insurance carrier to be included in the Bold Penguin platform.

View appetite* for Berkley MP’s Directors & Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPLI), and Crime products for community associations using the Terminal’s Appetite Search feature. If the risk is in Berkley MP’s initial appetite, simply bridge to their carrier portal to quote and bind.
*Available in select states. Click here for more information regarding Berkley’s MP full appetite guide.
