COLUMBUS, OH (July 11, 2023) -- Fast Company today announced its fifth annual Best Workplaces for Innovators list, honoring organizations and businesses that demonstrate an inspiring commitment to develop innovation at all levels. Bold Penguin came in at No. 15 for its designed initiatives to encourage internal innovation as well as its exemplary actions to foster a workplace culture where all employees feel empowered to innovate. 

Developed in collaboration with Accenture, the 2023 Best Workplaces for Innovators ranks 100 winners from a variety of industries, including entertainment, biotech, consumer packaged goods, marketing, education, healthcare, and many more. Fast Company editors and Accenture researchers collaborated together to score nearly 1,000 submissions, and a panel of eight distinguished judges reviewed and endorsed the top 100 companies. The 2023 awards feature workplaces from around the world.

Bold Penguin has invested heavily in workplace innovation, as evidenced by the 2022 Penguin Tank, a 4-day, incentivized pitch and code competition that gave all employees the opportunity to gather for product enhancement ideation. Penguin Tank challenged all employees to think creatively on product and process improvements and gave company leaders the opportunity to solicit speculative enhancements from a different lens. The resulting innovations found a quick path into production delivering accelerated value to Bold Penguin’s user community.

Additionally, Bold Penguin highly prioritizes employee engagement in order to spark innovation and unite individual contributors into productive teams. In 2022, they launched a nationwide engagement initiative, the Drive Of The Penguins (DotP), a 6-month RV cross-country roadtrip campaign that focused on commonality and relationship building. They also launched a DE&I program to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace and established five Employee Resource Groups (ERG).
